A COUNTY charity has received a £500 boost from the family of a child it is helping to overcome extensive disabilities.

The funds have been given to Megan Baker House (MBH) from the family of Vasili Kalispera – an 18-month-old who is blind, deaf and has cerebral palsy caused by Kerniceterus.

Megan Baker House chief executive, Lee Gough, said: “Vasili is an incredibly brave and determined little boy and is now able to stand, holding onto a ladder back chair and initiate steps – all helping to find ways in which he can become as independent as possible. He is an inspiration to everyone at MBH."

The Moreton Eye-based charity provides free conductive education to children with cerebral palsy and for adults with early onset Parkinson’s Disease.
