A COUNTY charity is urging people to give what they can to keep the elderly and vulnerable warm this winter.
Herefordshire Foundation's Surviving Winter campaign last year raised more than £16,000 and gave more than 80 grants to individuals and organisations helping those who can't afford to heat their homes.
The Office of National Statistics reported a 30 per cent increase in cold-related deaths last winter throughout the UK.
Cheques can be made out to The Herefordshire Community Foundation and sent to David Barclay, The Herefordshire Foundation, The Fred Bulmer Centre, Wall Street, Hereford HR4 9HP.
