Nordan crash update - elderly woman and child "seem to be improving"
POLICE have said that an elderly woman and a two-year-old boy who were injured in a crash near Leominster yesterday "seem to be improving."
An Audi A3 and a Volkswagen Lupo were in collision on the B4361 at 11.30am.
The boy who was in the Audi was flown to Birmingham Cildren's Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
He remains in a serious condition.
The driver of the Volkswagen - a woman in her 80s - was flown to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire, where she remains in a stable condition.
The woman driving the Audi was uninjured.
PC Ian Twaites, who is investigating the incident, said: “The condition of both the boy and the lady injured in the collision seem to be improving and our thoughts are with them.
“We would like to appeal to anyone who saw the collision or the moments leading up to it to contact West Mercia Police if they have not yet spoken to an officer.”
