Revealed - Herefordshire Council's contract payments
Herefordshire Council paid more than £26 million to Worcestershire County Council over the 2012-13 financial year.
That total – up from £22m in 2011-12 – covered the likes of the council’s pension scheme and joint waste disposal contract. The Worcestershire sum was the second biggest outside payment commitment.
As reported by the Hereford Times last week, the now dissolved Amey Wye Valley received £38m from the council in 2012-13 with more than £3m of “disputed items” still to be resolved when the contract ended last month.
Transactions between the council and Hoople Ltd totalled £9.29m, down from £9.37m in 2011-12.
For more on other payments, including to organisations such as Hereford Futures, Fosca and The Courtyard, see today's Hereford Times.
