Sewer problems in Orleton, Herefordshire, to be discussed at public meeting
SEVERN Trent will report the findings of its investigation into a sewage problem in Orleton.
The water company has been looking into the problem over the summer which has seen the village plagued by the smell of raw sewage.
Severn Trent will discuss the issue at a public meeting at Orleton Village Hall on Thursday (October 10) at 7.30pm.
Earlier this year the Hereford Times ran a story about a problem with a manhole cover in Mortimer Close.
Parish councillor Brian Powell said the unpleasant incident is just one of many that has occurred over the past 22 years.
A problem with a blocked pipe near the village hall has also been reported.
