Hereford man denies manslaughter charge

A HEREFORD man charged with attacking another man, leaving him in a coma for several months before he eventually passed away, has appeared before a court.
Charles Harrison, aged 57, of John Tarrant Close, Newton Farm, is accused of attacking Stephen Lysycia on April 6 last year.
He appeared at Worcester Crown Court today where he denied charges of manslaughter and of maliciously assaulting Mr Lysycia, causing him grievous bodily harm.
Mr Lysycia was left in a coma following an attack near the Golden Fleece pub. He died on May 1 this year.
Harrison was released on conditional bail until his trial, which is due to begin on March 28.
