World's biggest coffee morning: Herefordshire prepares for the Macmillan Cancer Support charity event tomorrow
HEREFORDSHIRE is gearing up for the world’s biggest coffee morning tomorrow (Friday).
The event is Macmillan Cancer Support’s largest fundraising event of the year and people across the UK will be doing their bit to raise money.
Staff from South Hereford Garages’ Group will be joining in and offering a selection of cakes for customers to purchase.
In Hereford, at the Kindle Centre next to Asda, there will be a coffee morning between 11am and 1pm.
This event is being led by Helen Broomfield, in support of her father Martin who currently has cancer.
Leominster Funeral Directors Handley and Hawcutt will also be taking part between 10.30am and 2.30pm.
At Thomas Panels and Profiles, on Southern Avenue in Leominster, there will be a raffle, car wash, home made cakes and coffee or tea.
All visitors are welcome between 8am and 5pm.
Raffle tickets will be on sale for hampers and there will be hot drinks and homemade cakes available.
Over in Eardisley, Betty Williams will be opening her doors for the morning’s event where there will be a variety of items on sale along with a raffle.
It will take place at her home – the Wain House – adjacent to the church from 10am.
And the Lally family will be hosting their coffee morning at Llanigon Village Hall from 8.30am while Lingen Hall’s tea party will take place between 3pm and 5pm.
