Hereford MP Jesse Norman leaves Government post
MP Jesse Norman is tight-lipped over his leaving of the government’s policy board this morning.
The member for Hereford and South Herefordshire is reported to have lost his place on the No10 policy board for not supporting the government over the vote on military action against Syria.
"Many people in Herefordshire simply were not supportive of the government’s view on Syria – and I agreed with them,” Mr Norman told the Hereford Times.
Mr Norman and North Herefordshire MP Bill Wiggin were among the 31 coalition MPs to abstain from the vote that the government lost last Thursday.
• Meanwhile, Mr Norman will be holding a surgery at the Larrauperz Centre, Ross-on-Wye on Friday (Sep 6) from 4.30pm to 6pm.
