Housing group's plan for Hereford homes approved
9:40am Monday 2nd September 2013 in News
THE housing group behind Hereford’s proposed urban village has the go-ahead for 10 one-bedroomed apartments on a city centre site.
Sanctuary Group’s planning application for land next to the Freedom Church in Coningsby Street was backed by Herefordshire Council planners.
Gareth Scannell, Sanctuary’s development manager, said: “These will be high quality affordable homes, designed to meet the needs of those requiring supported accommodation in Hereford.”
Sanctuary is now appointing the lead contractor for the project, due for completion next autumn, and looking to offer local training and employment opportunities on site during construction.
