Archaeological-themed walk through Queenswood County Park will help to unlock its past
10:52am Friday 30th August 2013 in News
AN archaeological-themed walk through a Herefordshire beauty spot will help to unlock its past.
The walk through Queenswood Country Park will be led by Herefordshire Council’s countryside service ranger, Jim Key – who will be joined by archaeologist Tim Hoverd – and walkers will journey to the other side of the hill as featured on Channel 4’s Time Team.
Mr Key said that Tim Hoverd will be able to provide “all sorts of wonderful insights” into Queenswood’s lumps and bumps, from the woodland’s industrial past back to the hill’s significance during the Bronze Age.
The free event will take place on Saturday September 7 between 10am and 12.30pm but booking is essential.
For details and to book a place, call the Queenswood National Trust shop on 01568 797853.
