Hereford family will take on challenge for Parkinson's UK
9:00am Tuesday 27th August 2013 in News
A HEREFORD family is taking on one enormous challenge to raise funds for a charity close to home.
Brothers Nic and George Snell, from Lower Lulham, both work for Certainly Wood and, along with their teenage sons Will and Tom, will cycle from John O’Groats to Land’s End to help Parkinson’s UK.
Their nine-day journey began on Sunday in John O’Groats and they hope to be at Cornwall’s south-western tip on Bank Holiday Monday.
Nic, aged 48, said: “We are cycling for our mother who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s about seven years ago.
“We have seen first-hand how Parkinson’s affects people and their families.”
The boys are being supported by Nic’s wife Lucy in a camper van along with George and Nic’s eldest daughters Sophie and Rosie.
The Snells have already raised more than £9,000 for Parkinson’s UK and have set themselves a target of £10,000.
