Shoppers bagged a bargain at the opening of a new charity store backed by high street champion Mary Portas.
Mary’s Living & Giving Shop, that supports the Save the Children charity, opened its doors to crowds in Teddington High Street on Saturday, April 20.
Residents took the opportunity to spring clean their wardrobes and rummaged through bargains on offer including top brands such as Whistles, Monsoon and Ted Baker.
Portas said: "I am so excited to be setting up shop in Teddington.
"There is a brilliant community already and I want local artists, craftspeople, designers, cake bakers and shoppers to come and be a part of Living & Giving, after all, it’s a space for you, the local community."
The first 30 people through the doors that made a donation to the shop were given a goody bag, plus the first pick of the best bargains.
Erica Charles chief brand ambassador for the charity said: "The local community have already embraced us and made us so welcome.
"We are sure all our visitors will be pleased when they stop by, especially as the proceeds from anything they buy will help save children’s lives."
