CONTROVERSIAL hip-hop star Dappy was involved in an altercation at a Hereford nightclub at the weekend.

A customer at Play sustained a small cut to his head after the N-Dubz star pushed him away from the stage during his performance in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police have said that the incident has not been reported to them and they have not received any allegation of assault.

But spokesperson Sarah Buxton did say that, now they have been made aware of the matter, they will be making inquiries to establish exactly what happened and if there any complaints to investigate.

Following his performance, Dappy tweeted: “Tonight was f**kkkked!!!!! Poor security lool.”

But Play general manager Dan Guerche said that security was not an issue at the club.

“The customer managed to get past the security to try to gain access to the stage,” he said.

“There were 12 members of door staff on Friday night and there is no need for extra security.

“It was an isolated incident.”

Mr Guerche added that the club’s first aiders treated the customer before paying for a taxi to take him to A&E.

Dappy did stay at Play afterwards for a meet and greet with his fans.
