Road rage incident in Gorsley, near Ross-on-Wye

A MAN was assaulted following an alleged road rage incident near Ross-on-Wye.

The 72-year-old was overtaken by a white Citroen van on solid white lines along the B4221 in Gorsley.

He flashed his headlights and waved his fist at the van driver before both vehicles pulled up.

When the man wound down his window, he was allegedly sworn and shouted at and punched in the cheek, causing a bruise.

A passenger in the van also approached the other side of the car and tried to open the locked door before both men went back to their vehicle and left.

The driver is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall, in his mid 40s and of stocky build.

Anyone who witnessed the incident on March 4 can call Gloucestershire Police on 101.
