The radio station which covers this area was reporting a car fire on the southbound carriageway of Belmont Road this very morning - Oh ! And I had porridge for my breakfast also this morning.

You 2 are so conventional..
I had a cheese and pickle sandwich washed down with lovely hot coffee.

I had orange juice, bran flakes, an apple, a hot cross bun, a cup of tea and a dog biscuit!
The latter was a mistake. I'm not sure what I thought it was.
The dog had chicken, rice and biscuits - and a bit of my apple!

Sorry, Ubique5740. The dog must have hit return key after me, whilst trying to retrieve the apple.

Chocolate museli??? Pretty standard??? Not in our house! If you can't roll it in a fag paper,it doesn't qualify as breakfast!!

You are so conventional? For breakfast, I had a few sticks of celery, two carrots, a handful of spinach, a courgette, half a cucumber, two apples, a handful of mange tout and a slice of ginger, followed by a muffin. A few minutes later feeling somewhat peckish, another two apples. But i do not rest on laurels: today is another breakfast.

Good God, this impromptu breakfast survey is fascinating.

Courtesycall, was it stir fried? If no, most people couldn't stomach such a vibrant healthy brekky as that.

MightyBoosh. That is not right. Please don't explain.

Littlewhitbull. Very healthy.
Silentbull, try em with golden syrup.

Dippy. I had a couple of roll ups after the hot coffee too. I do find caffeine and nicotine really useful aids to getting up and functioning.

Just as an aside, I had my well man check up the other day.
I am officially recorded as a binge drinker by the NHS. My drinking habits are as follows.

1. No alcohol Monday through to Friday.
2. On Saturday and Sunday my wife and I share one bottle of red wine each day.
3 To be exact , I drink two thirds of the bottle and my wife drinks the other third.
This amount of alcohol classes me as a binge drinker - am I going to cut back on my alcohol intake - NO. Do I cause anybody any problem NO . Do I urinate in shop doorways NO. Have I ever been arrested or spoken to by the Constabulary - sad to say YES , in 1960 whilst I was stationed in Colchester , walking along the road at night with my zip undone! ( No I had not just left a doorway )
There is a post on the Grandstand Rd bookies breaking worth reading. If its still there!

That reminds me of BMI, which is a complete farce. I have a friend who is classed as morbidly obese. He's a "strongman" and has about 14/15% body fat, the rest being muscle.

Mizza, most G surgeries start sending letters out inviting you to a Health Check when you hit the Big 50. I understand this routinely covers cholesterol, blood pressure and possibly a prostate check!! I am sure your GP would love to hear from you whatever your age!!

OOh Biomech! Any further details?? Sooooooo exciting - am amazed HT have not covered this!!

Ubique, your post makes for a very interesting read, I'd suggest everyone else has a quick squiz at it!
