Man racially abused in Leominster town centre
9:47am Tuesday 12th March 2013 in News By Lydia Johnson
A MAN was racially abused in Leominster town centre.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the British man of Chinese descent was verbally abused by two men as he walked along Corn Square on February 25 at 2pm.
Both men are described as being white and in their 30s.
One of the men had either a bald or closely shaved head and was around 5ft 10ins tall. He was wearing a fluorescent jacket with a grey backpack and blue trousers.
The other man was slightly taller with short, dark brown hair. He was wearing a grey hooded top and dark coloured trousers.
PC Jim Phillips, of West Mercia Police, said: "While I appreciate this incident happened a little while ago, we take hate crime extremely seriously and as such, it’s important that we do all we can to help the victim and catch the offenders.
“We are particularly keen to hear from a woman who offered the victim some support following the incident. I would urge her to get in touch as she could be a vital witness to this crime and help us to identify those responsible for it."

In which case, if he was born in the UK, he is a British man, descending from Chinese folks.
In the States he would be an Asian-American.
British man of Chinese Descent seems to cover it nicely.
I know what you mean though because we don't always say British man of Indian descent, or British man of Caribbean Descent.
Where does celebrating our differences end and racism begin?
Probably with judgement.

I don't thnk they'd call it racial abuse if there were not an element of the abuse based on the man's extraction.
I doubt they were celebrating their differences.
Racism is rather a poor show and belies a lack of civilisation on the part of the abuser.
(Please don't feed the troll btw, it'll go away if you don't feed it)

Before I am classed as a racist, if similar happens to me will they say British man of Hong Kong descent- I don't think so. ( I was born in HK with Chinese mother and British father who was in the Forces )
