Water levels reduced in reservoir near Ledbury

WATER levels have been reduced in a reservoir near Ledbury.

People walking at the British Camp reservoir may have noticed the water level has dropped, but Severn Trent Water have reassured people that the water is not disappearing and that there is no water shortage.

Ian Hope, dams and reservoir manager for Severn Trent, said: “We are currently doing some maintenance at the reservoir and to enable this we are reducing the water levels.

“Our reservoir levels across the region are currently very healthy at an average of 95 per cent full, so we’re not expecting any water shortages this year.”
