THE trial of undertaker John Taylor for the murder of his wife Alethea has adjourned for the day because witnesses are thought to be at a funeral.

Earlier, Worcester Crown Court heard how Taylor made two trips to Leominster tip on the day his wife disappeared.

He was seen to put bagged up rubbish related to a house renovation he was working on into a skip. Evidence outlined how Taylor had spent some of the day making final arrangements for a funeral the following day.

He went on to work at the house under renovation at Westgate, Leominster, with a friend and leaving because he was "concerned" that he had not been able to contact his wife.

Alethea Taylor vanished without trace from her home in Orleton on January 19 last year. John Taylor denies her murder. The case continues
