Emergency services called to A40, near M50 junction

A MOTORCYCLIST was injured following a crash near Ross-on-Wye this morning.

Emergency services were called to the A40, just before the M50 junction, at 10.10am after the motorcyclist was in collision with a red Volkswagen Golf.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, sustained back pain, fractures to his right arm, a suspected left leg injury and a suspected pelvic injury.

He was flown to Bristol Frenchay Hospital for further treatment.

The car driver was uninjured.

Police believe that a silver car may also have been in the area at the time of the crash.

All three vehicles were heading away from Ross towards the M50 when the collision happened.

Reports suggest that a chicane has built to allow traffic to pass.
