Herefordshire water bills set to rise

THE water company that supplies the majority of Herefordshire homes is to increase its bills.
But with the majority of firms raising prices by as much as 5.5 per cent, Welsh Water said its hike of 1.7 per cent is far below the national average.
Chris Jones, finance director, said: “We are very proud to say that we have again been able to achieve the lowest average bill increase for our customers.
“Our unique not-for-profit model means we can ensure profits stay within the company for the benefit of customers.”
