A WOMAN was sexually assaulted as she walked home from a night out in Hereford.

She had been in The Grandstand pub with a friend chatting to three men  before she was followed home by one of the group in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The woman was walking towards Moor Farm from Sidney Box Drive when the man tried to force himself on her but she managed to run away unhurt.

The man is described as white, in his 30s, 5ft 6ins tall and of a slim build with mousey, brown hair.

He was clean shaven, had red marks on his face, wore a thick, gold band on one of his fingers and smelt of smoke.

He gave the victim his first name when they were in the pub which started with an ‘M’.

Police would also like to speak to the men the attacker was with in the pub.

Both men were also described as being in their 30s. One of the men was around 6ft tall, of a very slim build and with dark hair that was shaved or possibly balding. The other was around 5ft 8ins tall, of a large build and with brown hair.

After the woman was assaulted she came across an acquaintance on Welford Green who walked her home and persuaded her to call the police.

Police would like to speak to the man, who is in his 20s, as they believe he could help as a witness.
