FUNDING totalling almost £500,000 has been secured to make improvements at Bronllys Hospital.
Powys Teaching Health Board secured the grant from the Welsh Government to make improvements to some hospital buildings.
The Llewellyn ward roof has already been repaired and further work on the adult mental health unit is planned at the hospital near Talgarth this year.
Work is due to start this month on H block, which will house the computer systems that support patient care for the county.
