Police investigating an alleged robbery in Hereford have revealed a list of items that were said to have been stolen from the Hunderton home.

Officers arrested seven men after an alleged assault in Springfield Avenue yesterday morning.

The householder was injured shortly after 11am and had some of his belongings taken from him, including a DVD player, digital set top box and a quantity of cash.

Detective Inspector Martyn Barnes, from Hereford CID, said: "I would like to reassure the public that this is thought to be an isolated incident and that those involved are known to one another.

"Shortly after the incident was reported to us, we arrested six men on suspicion of robbery and a seventh man was detained a few hours later in connection with the offence.

"All seven have now been released on police bail while we continue our inquiries into this incident.

"The householder suffered injuries to his face and head, and I would appeal to anyone who was in Springfield Avenue yesterday morning and recalls seeing any suspicious activity, to call us."
