Why in Gods name of they even considering training these kids to wrestle me to the ground, apply some pressure point and render me incapable of battling on in my zeal to get home to watch Wrestlemania?
Its bloody madness. And what happens when one of these kids gets injured whilst being subjected to some inevitable force relating to their training? Yes! A winner. They'll sue the Police for their injury, they'll get compensation and then they'll be criticised for coming up with the idea in the first place. And who pays? Yes, bloody us! The cash cows that keep on forking out for gimmicks and poor decisions.
Its madness and someone should think this stupid idea through quickly before they all mget fitted up for their uniforms.

Do they struggle to recruit?
What will they do when they visit elderly and vulnerable care homes?
What public safety advice will they deliver and who will take advice from a spotty 16 year old Herbert??
They should all have to do National Service..

These kids will not be allowed on the streets without supervision from an Officer and they will not be placed in harms way which means we pay for their uniform, their pointless training and the salary of the Officers who are called upon to babysit.
The West Mercia are no different to other public services wasting our time and money on pointless areas of business that you and I couldn't care less about.
Before the economic crash the West Mercia corporate aim and logo read, 4000+. This was their aim and ambition. To employ, at our cost four thousand employees. And they did. Very quickly they met this target that we are now paying for and now, in the Police, there are hundreds of staff doing things that are pointless, have no impact upon you and I and they were put there simply to please New Labour and their thirst to create a huge public sector that we now serve.
But, back to this scheme! A complete waste of time and you can be sure of one thing. Someone within will be tasked and paid to Manage this wasteful project.
