Man left with broken jaw following assault in Hereford city centre

A MAN’S jaw was broken in what police believe may be a case of mistaken identity.

The man was outside the Hereford Model Centre on Commercial Road between 3am and 3.25am on Friday January 11 when he was approached by a male who punched him in the face.

He has since had an operation to insert metal plates in to his jaw, and police believe the attack may be a case of mistaken identity due to something the attacker said to the man following the assault.

The suspect is described as white, aged 20 to 25, around 5ft 10ins tall and of medium to large build. He has shaved auburn hair and was wearing a grey t-shirt with black graphics on the front.

Anyone with information can call Hereford police station on 0300 333 3000 quoting reference 37S 110113.
