BRAVE Herefordians who bared all for a naked calendar have smashed their fundraising target.

More than 3,000 copies of the Game Birds 2013 calendar have been sold, netting more than £22,000 for the Midlands Air Ambulance in memory of 21-year old Richard Warr.

Richard, of Pencombe, died in August 2011 when he was involved in a car crash near Shobdon.

Friends and family came up with the idea of a fund-raising calendar last year and 24 women from the Bromyard and Leominster area bravely signed up, posing in country pursuitthemed scenes.

Richard’s sister Gemma Thomas took the pictures and the calendar was launched last November with the hope of raising at least £10,000 for the air ambulance crews who had fought to save Richard’s life.
