Hay-on-Wye meeting about mobile phone mast plans

PARENTS will demand answers when they attend a meeting about plans for a mobile phone mast in Hay-on-Wye next week.

As previously reported, O2 has secured planning permission to put a mast on land off Forest Road - not far from the site Powys County Council want to build a new Hay Primary School.

The school is holding meeting about the controversial plan at the current Oxford Road site from 7pm next Thursday (January 17).

Organisers hope Roger Williams MP, representatives from O2 and developers EMF/Cornerstone will attend.

A number of parents feel the school’s governing body should have been consulted during the planning application process.

The meeting is not open to the public.
