Claire and Dan Locking with baby Hope
TWO county families started 2013 in the best possible way by celebrating the birth of their babies.
Claire Locking, from Hereford, was one of two mothers who gave birth at Hereford County Hospital on New Year’s Day.
Baby girl Hope was born at 7.09pm and weighed 7.7lbs, while the other baby, a boy, entered the world at 2.01pm.
Both sets of parents were given a teddy bear for their baby to mark their special birth.
Helen Price, delivery suite manager at Wye Valley NHS Trust, said: “It’s wonderful for our midwives to be able to share with the proud parents the birth of their babies on New Year’s Day."
