VOLUNTEERS at a Ross-on- Wye charity have won an award that was inspired by the Princess of Wales.

Hope Support Services helps young people affected when a close family member is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.

Its youth management team (Y-Team) members Ali Raine, Ben Ray, Jemma Williams, Olley Owens, Becky Green and Dean Powles went to London to collect the Diana Award after being named as Diana Champion Volunteers.

The prize started in 1999 as a legacy to the princess’s belief that young people have the power to change the world.
