POLICE would like to speak to these people in connection to a theft at Boots in Ledbury.

Make-up worth more than £100 was stolen from the shop at around 2pm on Tuesday, December 18.

Anyone with information can call PC Andrew Varden on 0300 333 3000, quoting reference 72-N-181212.

I've been studying this form of illicit activity and you'd do we'll to follow my advice and conclude this is the work of thieves.
The Modus Operandi has all the hallmarks of thieves. The tippy toeing into a shop, the secreting of valuables and the failing to pay for the goods.
You may well say, 'yes bobby we appreciate that'. Well I for one don't appreciate it. If someone crept into my shop, if I had a shop, the last thing I'd be muttering would be,'I appreciate that'.
I mean you'd be a fool to appreciate someone stealing your valuables and personal belongings wouldn't you?
No, the Police would do well to follow my lead and concentrate their efforts in finding thieves rather than asking me or you if we'd done it.
As for me? It wasn't me. I was miles away at the time of this offence and whilst I have no alibi I'll fight this allegation until my last living breath. I'll not have my good name dragged through the dirt of Ledbury and anyone who tries to drag my good name through the streets of Ledbury will find that I will not allow my good name to be dragged through the streets of Ledbury.
That's my view and anyone who disagrees with me is an embellisher.

What do they expect when the tills and staff are so far away from the exit? The staff would stand a chance of spotting stealing if they were at the door end!

Ubique, Thank you for your kind words my good friend.
That said, Im no better for biting back.
Im pretty much done old friend. I ain't quite got over Lukio clearing off.
Our little forum is going down hill and we seem to have turned into a group who have lost sight of what we want, namely, for this Council to either go or change direction.
Me? Im retiring from our group of ranters and ravers. I've emptied me desk and Im going back to my Make Up trailer with the star on the door.

Bobby47, I agree with you - the posts from some are insulting and completely unnecessary . If thats the way they lead their life so be it. I want no part of it . I have my horse saddled and will ride into the sunset and camp on Credenhill Hill. If some Posters attitudes change for the better my good lady will light a fire and send me a letter via smoke signals, I will then return to the fold.

Bobby47 and Ubique5740 must be persuaded to stay and keep posting. After all, what sort of a year would 2013 be without such wisdom and clear thinking? Bobby47 will be happy to hear that Shropshire Council has proposed to follow Herefordshire's example and increase council tax by 1.9%. When will a council have the guts to go above 2% and trigger a referendum? Bobby47, please keep the medication handy - we may all need to borrow some if things get worse.
