Three arrested in Hereford in burglary crackdown

THREE people were arrested in Hereford today as part of West Mercia Police’s bid to crackdown on burglary.

As part of operation Citadel, two men and a woman were arrested on suspicion of burglary after police went to addresses in Ridgeway Avenue and Homestead, Hinton.

Officers also stood in High Town handing out leaflets and giving advice on how people can keep their homes and possessions safe.

Temporary Detective Inspector Jim Bayliss said: "We want to show our local communities that we are taking burglary seriously and doing all we can to catch offenders.”

West Mercia need to inform more people what's going on and to be aware. There have been lots of burglaries in yazor rd / moor farm over the past few weeks. More needs to be done I only heard about them yesterday !

Are they saying that they don't take this seriously most of the time??
Anybody thats found 'illegally' on my property WILL NOT BE treated softly with ether a slapped wrist or a silly little fine(which Im guessing will be paid in installments over a two year period ???)

Sutton11 I can honestly say now the colder weather is here they are no longer to be seen and that is gor the past 6 weeks and I am in Moorfarm maybe you will have a different view when your home is burgled.
There should have been leaflets posted by community police, still after 9 burglaries nothing!
Silentbull I am with you, I see anyone on attempting to steal anything I won't be letting them off lightly!
