Tributes to Herefordshire DJ Adi Andrews

TRIBUTES have been paid to a popular Herefordshire DJ who died after falling into a trench.

Builder Adrian Andrews, better known as DJ Adi Andrews, died last Monday while carrying out building work at a property off the A465 in Wormbridge.

Emergency services found the 46-year-old at the bottom of the four-metre deep trench in cardiac arrest and immediately performed CPR, but he was confirmed dead at the scene.

Adi enjoyed a long career after starting out as a mobile DJ in 1988 and going on to found mobile disco agency Nitelites Entertainment. He presented two shows on Hereford Hospital Radio.

HHR chairman Chris Hughes said Adi, who was born in Weobley, was a ‘complete natural’ when it came to being a DJ.

He said: “In the four short years Adi has been a member of Hereford Hospital Radio we realised he was a diamond volunteer.

He also helped train others in the art of being a broadcaster.

Adi lived in Grosmont with wife Nicki, also a member of HHR.

Leave you tributes below.

A great guy, went to a few of his disco's. This is such a tragedy, his father Rex also dying not long ago. My thoughts and prays are for him and his wife Nicki. Rest in Peace.
