Bulls miss out on FA Cup TV cash

Cash-strapped Hereford United's hopes of a TV windfall have been dashed this morning.

Hopes had been high around Edgar Street that the Bulls' FA Cup First Round clash with local rivals Shrewsbury Town would be shown live on TV.

But the Football Association has announced that Cambridge City versus MK Dons, and Dorchester Town versus Plymouth Argyle will be on ESPN.

Braintree Town's clash with Tranmere Rovers is to be shown on ITV.

Had Hereford's match been selected for live coverage it would have seen them receive £63,800.

It is still unclear whether the match will take place on November 3 or 4.
