TWO young Polish men have been attacked in Leominster town centre.

The men - who are in their 20s - were both walking along South Street last Sunday when they were followed by a large group of youths, both male and female, who were shouting verbal abuse.

When the two victims tried to ignore the group they were attacked. One was hit with bricks, while the other was kicked and punched to the floor. Both men suffered bruising but did not need hospital treatment.

The attack took place in the South Street/Hereford Road area between 8.20pm and 8.35pm.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw the incident or has information about any of those involved.

They should call PC Wayne Strangwood at Leominster Police Station on 08457 444888.
