- Inspector Matt Scrase
Temporary Inspector Matt Scrase joined Surrey Police in 1994 following 16 years in the armed forces. He transferred to Dyfed-Powys Police in 2003 having had a varied career working in Personnel Support Units and Armed Response Units in both forces. He currently lives in Radnorshire although has some considerable experience of working in the Montgomery area as an Armed Response Unit supervisor and Acting Inspector.He hopes to undertake his role as the local Inspector by fully supporting the Neighbourhood Policing Teams to fully integrate themselves into their respective communities, building safer communities, providing customer satisfaction and continuing to work in partnership with other agencies.
- Sergeant Adele Pitt
I joined Dyfed-Powys Police in 1997 and previously served in Llanelli and in Crosshands as a Traffic Officer, before, moving to Powys as custody Sergeant in Newtown. I have now undertaken the role of Neighbourhood Management Sergeant for Breconshire and work alongside my colleague Sergeant Mal James.I am committed to ensuring the success of the Neighbourhood Management Team in Breconshire, where I will be tackling the issues affecting local communities. This important work will be delivered along with partnership agencies, which will ensure that the area remains one of the safest places to live, work and visit in England and Wales.We have a highly-professional Neighbourhood Management Team in Breconshire and I am confident that we have the skills and excellent community relationships to achieve outstanding results.
- PC Fean Thomas
PC Fean Thomas has over twenty years’ service, working in North Yorkshire and Essex police before transferring to Dyfed Powys in January 2001. He joined Hay on Wye in November 2001, and became the beat manager in July 2006. He has an additional role as a Wildlife and Environmental Crime Officer and has had specialised training in wildlife and environmental crime. He enjoys working in this busy and popular area - Hay is one of the most visited places by tourists in Wales and is at times very cosmopolitan. He lives on his patch and enjoys the quality environment.
- PCSO Helen Scott
Former fitness instructor PCSO Scott is looking forward to helping people to make their neighbourhoods enjoyable places to live. She said: "I enjoy health and fitness and have previously completed 2 London Marathons and now live close enough to be able to run or cycle to work. I enjoy being outdoors, not behind a desk so look forward to walking around my patch meeting everyone."
