THE current exhibition at The Courtyard, 28 Day Flower Diary and other Domestic and Floral Oddities features work by Kate Owens and pieces from Herefordshire Heritage Services.
In this thought-provoking exhibition, Kate Owens aims to up-end the view that traditional feminine occupations like floristry were safe occupations to tame idle hands and minds. The result is 28 bouquets, created in Photoshop and combined with diary extracts to subvert the idea of flowers and women as soft, pretty and controlled and present them in a different way.
The exhibition runs until May 12 during The Courtyard’s opening hours. For more information,
