Staged reading of prize-winning play Pictures in the Sand at The Globe in Hay

A PROFESSIONAL staged reading of Margie Douglas’s prize-winning play Pictures in the Sand will be given by Susanna Best and Philip Bowen of Willow Globe and Shakespeare Link, and by Robin Scott Wilson of New Red Kite Theatre.

The reading is being held as a fund-raising event for New Red Kite Theatre, Hay’s community youth theatre which, after 11 years in the hands of Margie Douglas, Paula Chihaoua and the team, is now being run by a new and enthusiastic group of thespians headed by Robin.

Pictures in the Sand tells the story of how artist Katherine Mann’s world is turned upside down when a stranger arrives at her remote clifftop studio.

New Red Kite Theatre continues to run workshops on Fridays between 7pm and 8.30pm at Gwernyfed Drama Studio and currently has a number of exciting projects in the pipeline. For more information, contact Robin on 01497 847999 or 07986 591716.
