LEDBURY Artplace issued a challenge to amateur and professional artists, the first since their successful Altered Books exhibition more than two years ago.
Artists were set the task of making a bookwrap for their favourite book of any genre, from novel to gardening book, classic literary masterpiece to essential cookery book. Any material could be used, the only rule that the book should not be attached to the wrap.
More than 40 artists responded to the challenge and the mixed-media results can be seen next week at Ledbury Artplace in an exhibition which runs from Wednesday, April 9, to Sunday, April 13, 10am to 5pm daily.
A prize will be given to the best wrap in the exhibition.
