DROP in the Ocean is a sixday performance on walking and water by artists Jess Allen and Mads Floor Andersen, presented at Hereford’s All Saints Church in association with h.Energy week.
Water shapes our landscapes, fills our bodies and connects us all. But how much do we need? And where is it all coming from? From the River Wye to the Greenland ice sheets, from flooding to drought, Drop in the Ocean is an invitation for visitors to reflect on water, how we use it and what it means in a changing climate.
Part walking performance, part installation, you may encounter the performers in two ways: out in the streets or fields around Hereford where Jess will be walking, carrying water and collecting audio stories (look out for a milkmaid’s yoke), or in the installation space at All Saints Church, where Mads will guide you through indoor waterscapes and sound loops.
Drop in the Ocean is at All Saints Church, from Monday until Saturday, October 19, 10am to 5pm.
