CATCH About Face Theatre at Ledbury’s Market Theatre on Saturday, when it shares Postcards from Blackpool, a rollercoaster tale in which dreams can be dreamt, broken or fulfilled.
The show is inspired by the experience of a visit to Blackpool and performers integrate with puppets and filmed footage to discover the glitzy, glamorous and dark side of Blackpool as their tale unfolds in a unique visual style.
For some it is a lonely, disorientating world, while for others it offers a chance to follow their dreams and become the hero, the belle of the ball, star for a night.
About Face is one of just a handful of professional theatre companies in the UK to employ only actors with learning disabilities, offering stimulating and original theatre that is both challenging and entertaining.
To book tickets for Postcards from Blackpool, presented by Arts Alive at Ledbury Market Theatre on Saturday, at 8pm (£9/£7/£5), call 01432 383663 or visit themarket theatre.com.
Postcards from Blackpool will also be performed in Brilley Village Hall (01544 327227) at 3pm and 7.30pm on Friday, February 10 and at Canon Pyon Village Hall (01432 830822) on Saturday, February 11, at 7.30pm. The show is suitable for over-12s.
