EVERYONE’S favourite brother and sister, Charlie and Lola, bring their wonderful stage show, Charlie and Lola’s Best Bestest Play, to Malvern Theatres on Wednesday and Thursday, March 3 and 4.
The stars of the hit BBC TV series and books by Lauren Child are brought to life by a magical mix of puppets and music.
Charlie is seven and Lola, who is four, have an imaginary friend, Soren Lorenson.
The play follows Charlie and Lola as they make everyday tasks into a magical and fun-filled adventure.
Jonathan Lloyd, who adapted Charlie and Lola for the stage, said: “I was really drawn to Charlie and Lola, to the lovely situations that young audiences can recognise.
“My job was to work out how we were going to make the books and TV episodes into a play.
“The trick was to take some of the best stories and find a simple way to link them into a day in the life of Lola.”
The play is presented by four puppeteers, with specially-made puppets and the voices from the TV series, and is perfect for ages three-plus.
Shows are at 4pm on Wednesday and 10.30am, 1.30pm and 4pm on Thursday. Call the box office on 01684 892277 or visit malvern-theatres.
