After a bereavement, Ellie journeys through a world of friends and comic book superheroes as she yearns for an escape. As the wildest parts of her imagination take control, the walls of her new world begin to blur and Ellie must face the truth behind her fantasies.
After the acclaimed success of Killing Roger, Sparkle and Dark Theatre Company return with their latest production I Am Beast - using original live music and life-sized puppetry, the production explores the mind of a young adult when faced with grief.
I Am Beast, which was the winner of The John Beecher Award at Buxton Festival 2015, has been developed with teenagers, therapists, psychologists and neurologists.
