ARTS Alive presents Louise the Poet in The Sleepover: a special treat with live music for five-to-ten-year-olds and their families and friends.
Follow the story of an adventurous girl, her sleepy dad and a pit-bull dog called Prince. It’s an interactive modern fairytale; a re-imagining of ‘The Princess and the Pea’.
In this build-your-own audio pop-up poetry book of a tale, the audience are invited to create and record sounds as part of the live music.
Louise the Poet and Lee the Music Maker encourage lots of interaction and audience response. "I loved the wit, originality and contemporary take on a well-known tale. Great fun for parents and kids," says Sian Kerry, director of Arts Alive.
The Sleepover was featured in the Guardian BBC Radio 3 Just So Children's Festival.
Meet Louise and Lee (and Prince) at Steiner Academy in Much Dewchurch on Saturday, November 12 at 2pm. To book, call 01981 540221
