PABLO Picasso was famous not only for his art, but also for his attitude towards women. He described them as falling into one of two groups – goddesses or doormats! Now it’s time for the women to have their say, and in Suitcase Theatre Company’s production of Brian McAvera’s Picasso’s Women, which comes to Ledbury on November 12, that’s exactly what they do. From beyond the grave, they return to give a no-holds-barred picture of what it’s like to love and be loved by a genius.

Four of Picasso’s women – Fernande Olivier, Olga Kokhlova, Marie-Thérèse Walter and Jacqueline Roque – take to the stage at the Market Theatre, Ledbury, to deliver their uncompromising verdicts on the life and loves of the 20th century’s most famous artist. They do so in language which some may find offensive, so the production is unsuitable for children.

Picasso's Women will be at the Market Theatre in Ledbury on Saturday, November 12 at 7.30pm. To book, call 07967 517125 or visit themarkettheatre.com.
