TORCH Theatre present Oh Hello! A tribute to Charles Hawtrey, at The courtyard on Thursday, September 15.

Hawtrey was one of the leading lights of the Carry On Film franchise, and Oh Hello! is a one man show about Hawtrey’s life on and off screen. As one of the best known comedy actors of his generation, the performance is filled with stories from his 50 years of working in the film industry. As well as performing in 21 Carry Ons, Hawtrey also starred in films including The Ghost of St Micheal’s and Passport to Pimlico, and worked with the likes of Alfred Hitchcock. But as his career waned, Hawtrey’s behaviour became more drunken, promiscuous and eccentric, losing him many friends.

Oh Hello! received fantastic reviews after its sell out run at Edinburgh Fringe in 2015 and an extra date had to be added to satisfy audience demand. After Torch Theatre’s sell out show Grav at The Courtyard earlier this year, the company make a welcome return to Hereford.

Oh Hello! will be in The Courtyard’s Studio Theatre on Thursday, September 15 at 7.30pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
