FARCICAL Comedy presents a night of amazing comedy on Saturday, April 16 at the Imperial.

Headlining the night is Jordan Brookes, recently nominated in the best newcomer 2016 Chortle Award – previous winners are Jason Manford, Sarah Millican, and Joe Lycett - who took a much-acclaimed debut show to Edinburgh, including a five-star review from The Mirror, who said:

"Superbly crafted show about the nature of identity. He cleverly switches between characters, veering between almost straight stand-up and something more avant-garde. The humour is clever, intelligent and walks a very interesting line between being cerebral and broad. It's all delivered tightly and with no little amount of acting skill, so much so that you emerge from it not knowing who, if anyone, you've actually seen for the last hour. And it had possibly the best ending I've seen for such a show."

Opening the latest Farcical Comedy night is North Devon stand-up, Luke Honnoraty, a confident, engaging performer whose skilled story telling is sure to captivate any crowd and he handles dark topics with a charismatic delicacy, performed with a cheeky, personable delivery.

A truly natural and gifted comedian who makes you feel most comfortable talking about the most uncomfortable subjects. ''One to watch, natural and engaging comedy, quite refreshing,'' declared Lee Sigerson of Cardiff Glee Club.

Support comes from James Dunn, Thomas Rackham, Steve McGowan and Mike Dryburgh.

Tickets available in advance from The Imperial or on the door.
