THE internationally renowned Actors of Dionysis are back with a riotous, irreverent and very naughty new show at The Courtyard.

Actors of Dionysis present a unique take on Greek drama with this revival of their eye-popping, trouser-dropping comedy, Lysistrata.

AoD have specialised in performing modern adaptations of Ancient Greek Tragedies for 21 years, and their latest production brings Aristophanes’ comedy of abstinence and excess bang up to date.

Follow the heroine, Lysistrata, and her troupe of titillators in their mission to bring a bloody war to a peaceful climax. Tensions mount, frustrations erupt and certain pillars of the community reach bursting point in this high octane, hugely enjoyable and absurdist version of Aristophanes’ masterpiece.

Lysistrata combines physical theatre, slapstick and circus to tell the ancient story of the battle between the sexes.

Young people aged 14 – 25 can get 10 per cent off this show with the free Courtyard Card. Apply now at the Box Office or at courtyard.org.uk/courtyardcard.

Lysistrata will be at The Courtyard on Thursday, March 24 at 7.30pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
