TASTE, a new show from CScape theatre company, is inspired by the TV series and tapestries of Grayson Perry.
A delicious romp of a show with humour, irreverence and playfulness at its heart, Taste asks: What’s behind our choices? What defines our identity? Do we really fall into “social tribes” and, if so, how far up the social ladder is our tribe? Can we climb higher?.
Blending dance from choreographers Sally Knight (Cscape, Kneehigh) and Neil Paris (Fabulous Beast) and writing from Murray Lachlan Young (BBC Radio 2 and 4) Taste explores what defines our identity and ponders the intricacies behind our choices.
‘Arts Alive is delighted to welcome back this talented, engaging young company’ says Director, Sian Kerry. "Cscape have a great track record with Arts Alive audiences; their work is adventurous, accessible, beautiful and humorous and they have never failed to delight with both adults’ and children’s shows."
Cscape began more than ten years ago. With a commitment to blending imaginative physical theatre with energetic choreography, their over-arching ambition is to make contemporary dance accessible and engaging.
Cscape will be exploring Taste at Eardisley's Curzon Herrick Hall on Saturday, February 27. To book, call 01544 327844.
