BROTHER Wolf is proud to present the return of its critically acclaimed one-man show, Fagin's Last Hour, taking the stage for its sixth year. Adapted and performed by award-winning actor/writer, James Hyland, this celebrated production portrays Charles Dickens' classic tale from the point of view of Fagin the Miser, one hour before his execution at Newgate.

Hailed as "powerful and highly accomplished" (The Stage) and "unforgettable theatre at its best" (The Courier), the show has been universally acclaimed by critics and audiences alike, receiving recognition for his Dickensian adaptations from Her Majesty The Queen, when he was invited to Buckingham Palace to make the bicentenary of Dickens's death.

Unlike other adaptations, Fagin's Last Hour not only conveys the horror of Charles Dickens' original novel but likewise "succeeds in presenting Fagin as a complex human being" (The Dickensian). A box office hit, its success is paralleled by Brother Wolf's other award-winning dramas: A Christmas Carol – as told by Jacob Marley (deceased), the "definitive telling of A Christmas Carol" (Redditch Standard), Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, "magnificently intense, riveting theatre from one man" (The York Press), and A Lesson from Auschwitz, "It illustrated just what drama can do that even the most meticulous history can't: it takes the historical elements and creates something new... a considerable achievement" (Nicholas Kinloch).

Fagin's Last Hour is at The Courtyard on Wednesday and Thursday, February 17 and 18 at 7pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
