FOLLOWING critically acclaimed sell-out runs at the Almeida Theatre and in London’s West End, King Charles III arrives at Malvern Theatres on Monday, running until Saturday, November 7.

The Queen is dead: after a lifetime of waiting, Prince Charles ascends the throne. A future of power. But how to rule?

Mike Bartlett's play explores the people underneath the crowns, the unwritten rules of our democracy, and the conscience of Britain's most famous family.

Robert Powell takes on the role of King Charles, alongside Penelope Beaumont, Jennifer Bryden, Richard Glaves, Dominic Jephcott, Lucy Phelps, Ben Righton, Giles Taylor, Parth Thakerar, Tim Treloar, Beatrice Walker and Paul Westwood.

Directed by the Almeida Theatre’s artistic director Rupert Goold with Whitney Mosery, King Charles III has been awarded the Olivier Award, Critics’ Choice and South Bank Sky Arts Award for Best New Play.
